چکیده
Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is a viral disease of small that highly contagious, severe, reportable, and economically important. The present study was conducted to detect the PPR virus (PPRV) circulating in sheep Bangladesh determine its association with epidemiological risk factors degree relationship between F H genes PPRV those other goat isolates. A cross-sectional five selected districts collect data on locations, ecological zones, breeds, age, sex, sources, time period, farming systems using structured questionnaire accompanied by face-to-face interviews. During sampling, 250 nasal swab samples were collected from live typical clinical signs PPR. Thereafter, reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay employed genes. Risk determined bivariable multivariable logistic regression analyses. Phylogenetic analysis detected performed MEGA software after sequencing both Using RT-PCR, 35.6% (89/250, 95% CI: 29.6%–41.6%) found be positive for PPRV. Locations, feeding identified as potential molecular infection multivariate model. Nucleotide phylogenetic showed strain genetically related lineage IV For gene, sequence divergence our gene ranged 0.01% 0.018% within IV, similarity 98.2% 99.0%. In case similar results also observed divergence, ranging 0.017% 0.083% among others, varied 91.7% 98.3%. To best knowledge, this first RT-PCR-based epidemiology sheep. This highlights importance establishing successful interventions managing infections Bangladesh.

were positive for the hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase genes of avian influenza A (H7N9) virus. Of 6 environmental samples, 5 were positive for (H7N9) virus HA genes. No (H7N9) virus HA antibodies were detected from paired serum samples from all 18 close contacts. Two virus strains were isolated: 1 from a patient specimen (A/Zhenjiang/1/2013) and 1 from a chicken cage specimen (A/environmen...
متن کاملMolecular Evolution of Peste des Petits Ruminants Virus
Despite safe and efficacious vaccines against peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV), this virus has emerged as the cause of a highly contagious disease with serious economic consequences for small ruminant agriculture across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. We used complete and partial genome sequences of all 4 lineages of the virus to investigate evolutionary and epidemiologic dynamics of ...
متن کاملSero-surveillance and Immunization in Sheep and Goats against Peste Des Petits Ruminants in Bangladesh
The sero-surveillance and immunization studies on Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) in non-descriptive indigenous sheep and Black Bengal goats aged between 5 to 12 months were carried out in the district of Mymensingh during the period from June to November 2003. Sero-prevalence of PPR by using competitive enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (C-ELISA) was conducted on 100 sheep and 100 goats which...
